Plants

All plants were watered just before we left! For stays of a week or more, please check and water the first-floor plants once a week.

General watering

Check live plants on the first floor once a week. Water moderately if the soil is dry 1 inch below the surface.

Plants with live plants on the first floor: - Small plant stand in the office near the door - Monstera in the office - 2 hanging plants above the kitchen counter - Pothos above the kitchen sink - Various plants along the mantle - Plants on the plant stand by the couch - 1 plant on the cart near the couch — water sparingly

Note: some of these plants are struggling and may not recover — that's not your fault.

Orchids (near the fridge, under the light)

Orchids need a different watering method. Once a week:

  1. Fill the pots with filtered water using the filtering pitcher near the dog food
  2. Set a timer for 20 minutes and let them soak
  3. Gently remove the pots, drain the water, and replace under the light
